My pretty French tables: Christmas special!
Here comes the magic of Christmas! What I look forward to the most during this season isn’t the presents; it’s the numerous cakes that I will be preparing to offer my loved ones! Not to mention the delicious food and table decoration that I’m already imagining! Here are my 5 favorite recipes made in collaboration with Cuisine Actuelle. Treat yourself! And above all, have a magical December !
The Feuilleté Christmas Tree
You may have seen this recipe on Pinterest, you can also make it with chocolate as a dessert! The result is really amazing. I recommend you present this tree in the middle of your appetizers’ table. It’s beautiful and delicious! Something to impress your guests! The napkin is by Françoise Paviot, a French company near Lyon specialized in recycling paper. Wine Jelly from Sauternes
We usually buy wine jelly to serve with the foie gras. And yet it’s really not that much work in the kitchen. Try this very simple recipe ! I’ve displayed it here in a special Christmas plate from Villeroy et Boch. The decoration at the bottom of the porcelain plate will appear once everyone has been served. Surprise! (Alright I’ll tell you, it’s Santa!!!)
Châpon rôti à la forestière
This is definitely my favorite recipe for December ! And it’s going to make it on my Christmas table. The small buns of mushroom sliced in the sauce are to die for! I don’t think I could’ve found a better tableware than Chanterelle from la faïencerie de Gien to present this dish. For a good old rural Christmas !
Roasted lobsters with herbal butter
S
If you’re more into fish, you can’t miss the lobster. It’s also pretty chic don’t you think? I prefer this type of light menu for the day after. Still here at Gien’s with elegance. What’s good about this recipe in the oven is that you don’t have to spend hours in the kitchen !
Light Raspberry Mascarpone Bûche
Don’t panic! It’s really not that hard to roll a bûche. I didn’t know that before trying this, but the mix is quite elastic and the result will meet your expectations! Such a pleasure to serve a homemade dessert! You can find this “Ecume” dessert plate at Bernardaud, specialized in Limoges porcelain for 150 years.
That’s it for this December. What about you? What are your favorite Christmas recipes? Don’t forget to leave a comment below !
