The Bernardaud Porcelain Manufacture
Last week, I was in Limoges for the Bernardaud porcelain workshop. But before that, I discovered the Musée Adrien Dubouché, our national museum of ceramics. (One day I will talk about my obsession love for porcelain…) This place is definitely worth a visit !
In the context of the France-Korean year, we took the time to visit 2 very beautiful exhibitions, “Corée 1886, roman d’un voyageur ” in the museum, and a second one in the Bernardaud factory presented by young Koreans with very promising style.
I took the opportunity to go through (the schedule of the day was a bit loaded) the workshops of the Bernardaud house, world leader in porcelain. Don’t worry! I will find the time to return to these workers of excellence and spend more time interviewing them. In the meantime, I can’t help but share with you some pictures taken by me…
Just before going into the oven … the porcelain is reduced by 14 14%. It’s amazing !
A decoration made by hand so carefully and thoroughly…
The colorful pieces take over the entire wall !
Watch out ahead !
Ready for shipment!
I hope you enjoyed this little visit and that it made you more curious about these arts and crafts professions. Anyway, I loved the studious atmosphere and the precision in each one’s work.
