Sofitel : The art of living à la française

Five years ago, I literally fell in love with the Sofitel world during a visit to Quiberon in Brittany. Notice that with so much luxury and sophistication it’s not so difficult! But I was certainly taken by how this chain hotel, so representative of the French art of living, could adapt to all the countries and keep its DNA all while highlighting a different culture. The reality is overachieved!
A little aside for Instagram, if you would like a sneak peek, I’ve added the links for my visits to Marrakech, Rio de Janeiro, Dubai,
and the best of all : le Sofitel Legend Métropole Hanoi last year, which for me is number 1 in the world for setting in historical buildings of the ancient city.
Back to Paris! Because you know as well as I do that we go to the end of the world without having seen what was right under our nose, 3 kilometers from home … I decided to visit the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe. The location is 2 steps away from the Champs Elysees between the Arc de Triomphe and Parc Monceau.
Here are 5 good reasons why you should visit Sofitel Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe. Even if you are a parisian !
1. Sleep like never before !
You might say it’s the basics when you go to a hotel. But here you can relax in a quiet street. After spending the day walking around the streets of Paris, I immediately appreciated the serenity of this place. Another advantage – available in all hotels – the concept “My bed by Sofitel”. I have never slept so well on a trip as much as I have with these mattresses. Magical !
2. Launch/Diner at Chef Christian Constant’s restaurant !
If you haven’t tasted their famous cocottes yet, this place is a must-visit. Here you can try foie gras de canard, Jambon from the Pays Basque or a terrine from our countryside, all at a very reasonable price. Whether you sit at the bar or take a large table, it is a true French cuisine experience. You can also try it even if you’re not staying for the night.
3. Discover an unique cocktail bar !
It is no secret that a drink at a fancy hotel has become the Parisian trend. And it is truly one of the best qualities of this place. The Cocktail Bar is managed by Stacy and Lionel, 2 experts in the field. All you need is to do is whisper your taste and preference and you get a taste of a special creation. A true delight !
4. A walk through temporary exhibitions
Here, they honor contemporary artists regularly. In fact, you ought to hurry if you want to catch the paintings of Barnabé, the exhibition ends on July 23 !
5. Apprécier le travail d’Andrée Putman
You will quickly recognize the footprints of this famous interior architect and French designer internationally renowned. On the façade first, with its iconic motif: the checkerboard. You will find it everywhere. Very chic!
